Is it snoring or sleep apnea? 🔍
It’s important to make the distinction. Because snoring doesn’t always lead to sleep apnea, but sleep apnea always leads to snoring. Does that make sense? Basically, if you have sleep apnea, it’s a guarantee you’re going to snore (loudly) because your airways are so constricted.
Either way, I’ll soon reveal to you how you can cure both. But it’s important to know the difference as if you have sleep apnea, it will be more urgent to rectify.

I have found that a nasal dilator helps with my snoring, as shown in the image above. This is an intranasal dilator, so you gently insert it into your nose. It widens your nasal passages so you can breathe through your nose.
If you’re like me and have a stuffy nose due to inflammation from allergies and have no choice to breathe through your mouth at night, then a nasal dilator may help. For a few dollars it’s worth a shot, right?
They work pretty well and reduce the risk of snoring for the price but don’t expect miracles from them. If you have obstructive sleep apnea: OSA, a piece of silicone probably isn’t going to be much use.
Also, many people don’t realise that snoring has many origins. What I mean is you can snore in 5 different ways:
- Tight throat
- Tongue touching the soft palate
- Narrow nasal passages/inflammation
- Tight jaw
- Soft and weak palate
That’s why these snoring products only work in certain instances.
For some people.
That’s why I’ll be discussing throat exercises for snoring and sleep apnea very shortly.
